Martina Leistenschneider (born May 22, 1935 in Bietzen ) is a former Hessian politician ( CDU ) and member of the Hessian state parliament .

After elementary school and secondary school, Martina Leistenschneider attended the nursing college and graduated as an exam. Nurse and worked in this profession.

After her marriage, she gave up working and looked after her four now grown-up children. Martina Leistenschneider is a Roman Catholic and widowed.

politics

Martina Leistenschneider has been a member of the CDU since 1975 and has held a large number of offices in the party: Since 1977 she has been a member of the CDU Bad Soden-Salmünster board of directors since 1989. From 1983 to 1998 she was a member of the CDU district board Main-Kinzig district . Since 1992 she has been a member of the state board of the CDU Hessen and since 1997 in the district board of East Hesse.

In terms of local politics, Martina Leistenschneider was active as a city councilor in Bad Soden-Salmünster (1977 to 1989, from 1981 to 1985 as deputy city councilor) and since 1981 as a district member in the Main-Kinzig district. 1985 to 1989 she was also group leader in the city parliament.

For four electoral terms, from January 7, 1989 to February 2, 2003, she was a member of the Hessian state parliament. After standing as a candidate for Rolf Müller in the Main-Kinzig III constituency in the state elections in Hesse in 1987 , she moved up to the state parliament after almost two years when he became State Secretary in the State Chancellery. She was then directly elected in the state elections in 1991 , 1995 and 1999 in the Main-Kinzig III constituency.
