Masahito Suzuki ( Japanese 鈴木 雅 仁 , Suzuki Masahito ; born December 7, 1983 in Tomakomai , Hokkaidō ) is a Japanese ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Tohoku Free Blades in the Asia League Ice Hockey since 2009 .

Career

Masahito Suzuki began his career as a hockey player with the Ōji Eagles , for which he was active in the Asia League Ice Hockey from 2006 to 2009 . In the 2007/08 season, the attacker and his team won the Asia League championship in the playoff final against Nippon Paper Cranes . For the 2009/10 season, the Japanese moved to the league newcomer Tohoku Free Blades , for whom he scored nine goals in 33 games and gave 15 templates. In the 2010/11 season, which ended prematurely due to the Tōhoku earthquake , he won the championship title of the Asia League Ice Hockey for the first time with the Free Blades and for the second time in his career.

International

For Japan , Suzuki took part in the 2011 Asian Winter Games , where he and his team won the silver medal. He was also in his country's squad for the 2012 Division IA World Cup .
