Masaru Nagaoka ( Japanese 長 岡 勝 , Nagaoka Masaru ; born August 6, 1962 in Otaru , Hokkaidō ) is a former Japanese ski jumper .
Nagaoka made his debut in the ski jumping world cup on December 30, 1979 in Oberstdorf . From the normal hill he reached the 38th place. Despite a lack of success in the following years, Nagaoka was part of the squad for the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo . In jumping from the normal hill, he reached 22nd place tied with the German Georg Waldvogel . He jumped from the large hill to 43rd place. On January 24, 1987, in Sapporo, he made the leap into the top ten for the first time and thus for the first time won World Cup points. In addition, this was the highest result of his career. After he also won World Cup points in Lahti and Oslo , he finished the 1986/87 season in 37th place in the overall World Cup standings. Nagaoka ended his active ski jumping career with the start at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary . There he reached 25th place on the normal hill and 48th place on the large hill. In team jumping he reached 11th place together with Katsushi Tao , Shin'ichi Tanaka and Akira Satō .
