Matías Pérez , full name Matías Omar Pérez Laborda , (born July 20, 1985 in Cardona , Soriano Department ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.73 meter tall defensive player Pérez was at the beginning of his career in the Apertura 2006 and the Clausura 2007 in the first division squad of Club Atlético Peñarol . In the 2007/08 and 2008/09 seasons he was a player for Danubio FC . In the latter season he scored four goals in the Primera División . He then moved to Argentina to Arsenal de Sarandí . In the 2009/10 season he was used there 17 times in the Primera División and scored two goals. At Apertura 2010, Danubio was his employer again. He played eleven first division matches for the Montevideans (two goals). In 2011 he played 25 times in the Primera División for the Santiago Wanderers in Chile and scored three times in the opposing goal. He also made an appearance (no goal) in the Copa Chile . He left the Chilean capital city club in early January 2012 in favor of Universidad Católica . 22 premier league appearances, two in the Copa Libertadores , four in the Copa Sudamericana and three in the Copa Chile - all without a personal goal - are the statistics for this career station for Pérez. In February 2013 he returned to Danubio for the 2013 Clausura and completed 13 top division games (one goal). From July 2013 to the beginning of August 2014 he was under contract with Quilmes AC in Argentina . After only seven first division appearances (no goal) and one game (no goal) in the Copa Argentina this year, he joined the Uruguayan first division team Juventud for Apertura 2014 . In the 2014/15 season he was used 26 times (five goals) in the top Uruguayan league. In mid-June 2015 he moved to Omonia Nicosia in Cyprus . There he completed a game in the 1st division and a game in the Europa League against Dinamo Batumi . He did not score a hit. At the beginning of February 2016, he continued his career at Club Atlético Rentistas . In the 2016 Clausura, he played there in six first division games (no goal) and was relegated to the second division with the club. In mid-August 2016, he joined the first division promoted Boston River and played two first division games (no goal) in the 2016 season. In January 2017, his move to Peru to the second division Sport Boys was announced. In February 2017 he joined the Uruguayan first division club Centro Atlético Fénix , for whom he has so far (as of July 26, 2017) completed a league game (no goal).
