Mateja Zver (born March 15, 1988 in Gornja Bistrica , Črenšovci , Prekmurje ) is a Slovenian soccer player.
Life
Zver was born in Gornja Bistrica at the gates of Črenšovci in the Prekmurje region. In her youth she attended the Ekonomska šola Murska Sobota and graduated here in 2006.
Career
In the club
Zver staged her career in the youth of the ŽNK Črenšovci. In Črenšovci she played until summer 2002 and then moved to ŽNK Atrij Odranci. After one season she left her club and moved to league rivals ŽNK Pomurje in 2003 . Zver became a top performer at the Beltinci club and was top scorer of the 1st SZNL every year in the following years. In the 2006/2007 season she set a lonely record in which she scored 61 goals for the ŽNK Pomurje in the 1st ZNL in only 21 games. Zver moved to Iceland in 2008 for the Pepsideild kvenna club Þór / KA , where she only played the main season. After the end of the season in November each year, she returned to her old club ZNK Pomurje until the start of Pepsideild kvenna in March . On January 22, 2015, she made her move to the ÖFB women's league club FSK St. Pölten-Spratzern . In summer 2016 she joined the successor club SKN St. Pölten .
National team
Zver is in the squad for the Slovenian national soccer team and has been the team captain since 2011 .
