Mateusz Kościukiewicz (born May 1, 1986 in Nowy Tomyśl ) is a Polish film actor .

Life

Mateusz Kościukiewicz, born and raised in Nowy Tomyśl, studied acting at the Ludwik Solski Academy for the Dramatic Arts in Kraków . He got his first film role in 2006 as a guest actor in the Polish crime series Fala zbrodni .

Kościukiewicz was hardly known beyond the Polish borders. In 2007 he had a small, uncredited role in the drama Nightwatching - The Rembrandt Conspiracy at the side of Martin Freeman . In 2010 he got the leading role in Wszystko, co kocham , which in 2011 was a Polish candidate in the running for the Oscar .

2013 he played in Baczyński the Polish poet Krzysztof Kamil Baczyński ; just a year later, in 2014, in His name was Francis Saint Francis of Assisi .

In 2010 Kościukiewicz met director Małgorzata Szumowska while filming the film Elles . In 2011 he married Szumowska, 13 years his senior. Their first child was born on December 3, 2012.
