Mathias Charles Thomas Marie de Hemricourt de Grunne
Mathias Charles Thomas Marie de Hemricourt de Grunne (also German Karl Graf Grunne / Grünne) (born February 20, 1769 in Dresden ; † October 7, 1853 ) was a Walloon nobleman , imperial lieutenant general of the Austrian Habsburgs and major general and diplomat of the United Netherlands .
Life
Mathias Charles de Grunne (German Graf von Grünne ) was the son of Count Ferdinand von Grünne , who died in 1779 as an imperial field marshal lieutenant. His ancestors were the Hemricourt de Mozet, Counts von Grünne and Herr zu Harsin, ducal Lorraine chamberlain. Mathias Charles also entered the imperial military service, in 1809 he retired as major general, and resigned in 1813. In 1815 he became major general in the United Kingdom of the Netherlands and in 1818 Lieutenant General. After that he was a diplomat. He founded the Dutch line of the Greens . His brother Philipp Ferdinand von Grünne took over the Austrian line.
