Mathias Edenborn

Mathias Edenborn (born April 24, 1975 in Kiruna , Sweden ) is a Swedish musical performer.

Career

Edenborn was trained at the Kulturama School of Arts and the Royal Musica Academy in Stockholm . During his training, he took on the role of Tony in the West Side Story . This debut was followed by a number of leading roles in Stockholm: Emile Lanrezac in Thomas Sundström's “Celine”, Chris in Miss Saigon , Brusander in the musical Kristina från Duvemåla and Peter in “Sondheim's Company”.

In Germany he started with the Nightmare solo and as cover Graf von Krolock in Tanz der Vampire in the Apollo Theater Stuttgart and later in Berlin. In the German premiere of "AIDA - Das Musical" he was seen as Radames. He also played Benvolio in Romeo & Juliet in Vienna. As in Stuttgart, he could be seen as Fiyero until July 31, 2010 in the musical Wicked in Oberhausen. After that, Edenborn was the first cast of Margrave Gerold in the musical Die Päpstin in the Schlosstheater Fulda on stage. From November 2013 he took on the role of the phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Das Phantom der Oper in Hamburg . Since October 2015, Edenborn has played the role of the phantom in the musical Love never dies - Das Phantom II, alternating with Garðar Thór Cortes and the understudy for Raoul.
