Matt Hobby

Matt Hobby (born January 18, 1985 ) is an American actor and comedian .

Career

He played his first role in 2008 in the direct-to-DVD film The Cult of Sincerity . In addition to some minor roles in the television series Mom and Fresh Off the Boat , he played the character Rudy Truitt in the series Hart of Dixie for ten episodes.

Hobby has played the role of Pastor Jeff Difford, a pastor on the CBS series Young Sheldon, since 2017 . In the first two seasons he stepped out as a recurring character, with the beginning of the third season he was promoted to the main cast.

As a comedian, he performed at the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival in 2010. He has regular appearances at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York with his comedy show Tying up Knot .

Life

Hobby was born on January 18, 1985 in the United States . He lives in New York with his wife, actress Mary Grill.
