Matt Charles Light (* 23. June 1978 in Greenville , Ohio ) is a former American American football poker players on the position of offensive tackles . He played for the New England Patriots in the National Football League (NFL).

Career

Light attended Purdue University and was signed in 2001 in the second round of the NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. He was a permanent member of the Patriots' offensive line from the start and won three Super Bowls with them in his career . In 2006 he was elected to the Pro Bowl for the first time , as a reserve for Jonathan Ogden . In 2007 he was again elected to the Pro Bowl, but this time as a starter. On May 16, 2012, Matt Light announced his retirement at a Patriots press conference.
