Matthew "Matt" Matros (born May 13, 1977 in New York City , New York ) is a professional American poker player . He is three-time bracelet winner of the World Series of Poker .

Poker career

Career

Matros has been participating in renowned live tournaments since 2001 .

Matros reached the final table at the Main Event of the World Poker Tour at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas in April 2004 , finishing in third place for more than $ 700,000 . In 2005 he was successful for the first time at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and reached the money places in two tournaments of the Texas Hold'em variant . At the 2008 WSOP , he sat at a final table and finished sixth for around $ 150,000. In June 2010, Matros won an event at the 2010 WSOP and secured a bracelet and a prize of just under 190,000 US dollars. In the two following years he also prevailed in a WSOP tournament and received two more bracelets and prize money of around 300,000 and 450,000 US dollars respectively.

In total, he has earned over $ 2.5 million in poker in live tournaments.
