Matt White (born May 9, 1977 ) is a former triathlete from Australia .
Career
The South Australian started triathlon at the age of 15 and started his first race as a professional triathlete when he was 20 years old.
The full-time firefighter has been a professional athlete since 1999. His nickname is Matty . In 2001 he started in the French Alps in the Embrunman in his first race over the long distance (3.8 km swimming, 188 km cycling and 42.2 km running) and finished eighth.
He has not appeared internationally since 2012. Matt White lives in Adelaide and works as a coach.
