Matteo Bono (born November 11, 1983 in Ome ) is an Italian racing cyclist .

Career

Matteo Bono won the Italian one-day race Trofeo Città di Brescia in 2005 . In autumn of the same year he drove for the Italian ProTeam Lampre-Caffita as a stagiaire . Bono has been under contract there as a professional since 2006. At the Grand Prix Ouest France , he finished 39th in August. In the 2007 season he celebrated his first professional victory in the ProTour race Tirreno-Adriatico . In the same year he won the third stage of the Tour de Romandie .

In 2011, Bono won the penultimate stage of the Eneco Tour in the sprint.

By 2017, Matteo Bono started a total of twelve times in the major country tours. His placement was 77th place at the Giro d'Italia 2014 .
