Matteo Metullio

Matteo Metullio (born March 3, 1989 in Trieste , Friuli-Venezia Giulia ) is an Italian chef .

Career

Matteo Metullio decided to become a chef at the age of 12 and subsequently enrolled at the IPSSAR School of Gastronomy in Falcade . After completing his training, he started working at the Alle Codole restaurant in Agordo . He then moved to the Hotel Rosa Alpina in St. Kassian, where he worked for four years. In 2012 he started as Sous Chef in the La Siriola restaurant of the Hotel Ciasa Salares , where he already took over the position of head chef in the Michelin-starred restaurant in spring 2013 . In autumn 2013 the restaurant was again awarded a Michelin star and 17 points in Gault Millau , making Matteo Metullio the youngest chef in Italy with a Michelin star. In 2017 he was awarded the second Michelin star.
