Matthew E. White (born August 14, 1982 in Virginia Beach , Virginia ) is an American singer and record producer .
Life
White was a member of the rock band The Great White Jenkins as guitarist and singer from 2006 , with whom he produced some recordings. From 2008 he was the head of the avant-garde jazz big band Fight the Big Bull , of which two CDs were released.
In 2012, Big Inner White's first solo album came out on his newly formed record company Spacebomb Records , which was a success in both the US and Europe. It was ranked 19th in the industry magazine Billboard , and White was hailed by eMusic as the most successful newcomer of 2012. The record label Domino Records launched Big Inner on the international market in 2013. The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung , Der Spiegel The Guardian and the British magazine Uncut each discussed the album. The album Fresh Blood (Domino 2015) also received very positive reviews in renowned media.
White has worked with many musicians in recent years, including Steven Bernstein , Ken Vandermark and the group The Mountain Goats .
