Matthias Edlinger

Matthias Edlinger (born May 5, 1972 in Munich ) is a German director , artist and writer .

Life

After graduating from high school , Matthias Edlinger studied communication science , art, and market and advertising psychology at the University of Munich . Since completing his studies, he has been working as a film director. His cinematic work includes numerous music videos , short films and advertising films as well as contributions for television . In addition, he wrote short stories and two novels , which are included in the new German pop literature . In 1998 Edlinger published his first novel 205,293 characters together with Jörg Steinleitner , which was first published by Lagrev-Verlag and a year later by Kiepenheuer & Witsch. Critics cited this novel partly because of its portrayal of the dominance of brands in the 1990s and its style because of popular literature. Because of the combination chosen by Edlinger and Steinleitner of "easily consumable literary road movie in the main text" and the inclusion of the "historical-cultural dimension in the form of headlines from the 90s in a continuous footer", the work is also popular with the new archivists [1] added. In 2004 the novel Hirschfänger (co-author Jörg Steinleitner ) was published, a kind of modern homeland novel, combined with elements of the detective novel. Edlinger's first non-fiction book Studieren was published in 2012 . Instructions for use that Matthias Edlinger wrote together with Eduard Augustin .
