Matthias Klausener

Matthias Klausener (born November 11, 1962 in Basel ) is a Swiss actor .

Life

Klausener attended the Becher drama school in Zurich from 1982 to 1984 . Before that, he was at the Rudolf Steiner School Jakobsberg (Basel) for 12 years and then attended the Huber Widemann business school in Basel. In Germany he was a. a. at the Landestheater Dinkelsbühl , in the Reutlingen "Tonne", at the Landesbühne Rheinland-Pfalz , at the Small Theater Bad Godesberg , at the Meininger State Theater and at the Bad Vilbel Castle Festival . In Switzerland he worked as an actor a. a. at the Städtebundtheater Biel-Solothurn , the Stadttheater Chur , the Theater Fauteuil , the Helmut Förnbacher Theater Company, the Theater Basel and the Theater an der Effingerstrasse in Bern. Klausener has worked as an actor in the German television film Der Showmaster (1993) and in radio plays on Swiss radio . He kept giving readings with classical ballads and produced his own CD ( Sleeps a Song in All Things ).

In 1995 he was a co-founder of the group “Freies Schauspiel Basel”, for which he produced performances. He worked as a director and was chairman of the Swiss Association of Stage Artists (freelancers, Basel region) for 16 years . After a serious traffic accident in 2000, Klausener studied cultural management at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences and graduated successfully in 2004. He worked as a theater director (Scala Basel) and publicist ( city ​​guide for Basel and non-Baselers , Der Freiberger , PNW aktuell ). Klausener started a second career in parasports as a dressage rider in 2007 and is a member of the Swiss team. He also works as a theater pedagogue (Volkshochschule Wehr, Musikakademie Basel and Drama School Basel) and riding therapist (SVPS license, Parasport cadre membership, and ongoing training at the German Institute for Riding Therapy in Konstanz) at home in Seewen SO . For a number of years Klausener was Vice President of the “Equestrian Handicap Switzerland” association.

Matthias Klausener is married to Bettina Koepp-Klausener and has three children. He is a member of the Green Liberal Party of the Canton of Solothurn .
