Matthias Lechner (Art Director)

Matthias Florian Lechner (born February 27, 1970 in Mannheim ) is a German art director and animation filmmaker .

Life

Matthias Lechner was born on February 27, 1970 in Mannheim , Baden-Württemberg , but grew up in Schwäbisch Hall . After his community service , Lechner first went to Hamburg in 1990 , where he did an internship at the cartoon production company TFC Trickompany , which was currently working on the comic book Werner - Beinhart! had made. Lechner worked here in 1992 as a background designer for the film Der kleene Punker , later became the art director of TFC and in this role drew for the film Werner - Puking Later! (2003) responsible. During this time Lechner studied classical animation in Dublin . Lechner acted as artistic director for the computer animation film Zoomania , which was released in 2016, and designed the locations of the film for this work for four years. Lechner was appointed Art Director Environment by the Disney Studios and in this role was only responsible for the environment.

Lechner is married to a Canadian and moved with his family to Los Angeles , California a few years ago .
