Matthias Malmedie

Matthias Malmedie (born December 3, 1975 in Bergisch Gladbach ) is a German television presenter .

Life

After graduating from high school , Malmedie took the initiative to act as a presenter for the only two German car television programs that existed at the time, auto motor und sport tv ( VOX ) and Motorvision TV ( DSF ). After meeting the then managing director of Motorvision TV , Malmedie was finally hired as an intern. In January 1998 he started his first project there, an evaluation of SsangYong Musso , which was also broadcast on television. After a three-month internship, Malmedie was offered a traineeship and was then hired as a full-time editor . After some time, Malmedie was promoted to the position of boss and worked as a manager on the programs sport auto TV and Tuning TV , both of which also ran on DSF.

In 2001 Malmedie got his racing license and has since taken part in various car races.

In 2005, Malmedie was poached from Focus TV to develop a new motorized magazine for RTL II . This finally appeared from 2007 as GRIP - Das Motormagazin , in which Malmedie acted as moderator.

In an interview in October 2018, he stated that his favorite among all vehicles ever tested was the Porsche 911 GT2 RS .
