Matthias Rauh (born January 5, 1981 in Singen ) is a former German handball player .

Athletic career

Rauh began playing handball at TV Ehingen and came to HSG Konstanz via HSG Singen-Gottmadingen . With Konstanz, the right winger rose to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2001 . In the 2002/03 season, the 1.80 m tall and 85 kg heavy left-hander had a second play right for the Bundesliga club SG Willstätt / Schutterwald , where he was occasionally used.

After Konstanz was relegated from the 2nd division in 2004, Rauh moved to HSV Hamburg , where he was ninth-best Bundesliga scorer with 194 goals in his first season 2004/05 and won the DHB Supercup . In 2005 he moved to the Swiss club Kadetten Schaffhausen , for which he played until 2010 and celebrated his greatest successes.

Rauh was with the respective teams German Supercup winners in 2004, Swiss Supercup winners 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008, Swiss champions 2006, 2007 and 2010 as well as Swiss cup winners 2007 and 2008. He was also third in the military world championship.
