Matthias Rossi (legal scholar)

Matthias Rossi (* 1968 in Eutin ) is a German legal scholar .

Life

He grew up in Eutin from 1968 to 1987. From 1987 to 1988 he did military service in the Navy. After graduating from the Johann Heinrich Voß School in 1987 , he studied law in Trier and Nancy from 1988 to 1993, receiving a scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation . From 1993 to 1995 he was a research assistant at the Humboldt University in Berlin . After his legal clerkship (1995–1997) in Berlin , stations in Paris and Haifa and his doctorate in 1997 from the Law Faculty of the Humboldt University of Berlin, he was a research assistant at the Humboldt University of Berlin from 1998 to 2004 . After his habilitation in 2004 at the Humboldt University of Berlin ( venia legendi for constitutional and administrative law, European law, financial law and legislative theory), he represented from 2005 to 2008 at the universities of Augsburg , Bremen and Karlsruhe as well as visiting professorships at the University of Paris-Nanterre and at from the National Law School of India University . Since June 2008 he has held the chair for constitutional and administrative law, European law and legislative theory at the University of Augsburg . From 2004 to 2012 he gave annual lectures as professeur invité at the Université Paris Ouest Nanterre - La Défense.
