Matthias Stockinger
Matthias Stockinger (born March 10, 1983 in Neunkirchen , Saarland ) is a German singer and actor .
Life
Stockinger completed his studies in singing and acting at the Folkwang University in Essen. During this time he played a. a. Oscar d'Armano in "The Wild Party" and Thomas Parker in "Bat Boy". Developed while still a student and he played in the world premiere of the chamber opera "Borrowed Lives" the male lead it . Another of his early stage stops was the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf , where he played Johnny in "Nelie Goodbye". He also wrote the music for this production.
Matthias Stockinger was one of the first cast of Roman Polanski's "Tanz Der Vampire" in Berlin, Oberhausen and Stuttgart and played both the landlord Chagal and the vampire count von Krolock . He has made guest appearances at city and state theaters in roles such as Ltd. Joseph Cable in “South Pacific”, Erich Littnauer in “Grand Hotel”, Radames in Elton John's “Aida”, Che in “Evita”, Benny in “Rent”, Berger in “Hair”, Sancho Panza in “Der Mann von La Mancha ". In the summer of 2011 he developed and played the role of King Ludwig II as a premiere cast in the new production of the musical "Ludwig 2 " and can also be heard on the CD recording in the title role.
In German-speaking countries, Matthias Stockinger could be seen at the Raimund Theater in Vienna as Frith in “Rebecca” and at the Thuner Seespiele in “West Side Story”. In Innsbruck he created and played the role of Bassanio in the world premiere of “Shylock!” By Brigitte Fassbaender and Stephan Kanyar. He can also be heard as Bassanio on the original cast live CD for this production.
From 2012 to 2014 Matthias played in the acting ensemble of the Theater Trier and was there a. a. to be seen in the following leading roles: Che in “Evita”, Johannes Pinneberg in “Kleiner Mann, Was Nun?”, DJ Ickarus in “Berlin Calling”, blind seer / Jelinek in Jelinek's “Aber sich!”, Theo Lingen (young) in “Theo Lingen - Comedian Accidentally”, Valerio in “Leonce and Lena” and Hérault-Séchelles in “Danton's Death”.
Since summer 2016 Matthias Stockinger can be seen regularly at the Festspielhaus Füssen, on the one hand with his interpretation of the title role Ludwig II in the musical "Ludwig²" and in 2017 for the first time as Theseus / Oberon in Heinz Rudolf Kunze's "A Midsummer Night's Dream".
Matthias Stockinger is also a gala and concert singer. He is on tour across Germany with his own concert series “Face To Face” as well as the third-party concert formats “Musicals In Concert” and “Merci Udo” (a homage to Udo Jürgens ).
His hometown Neunkirchen Matthias Stockinger artistically connected he was in the new production of the hit musical "Pope Joan" in the role of its directorial work in "silent" '2016 and for "The Producers" in 2017 and 2018.
