Matthias Vogt (* 1970 in Rüsselsheim ) is a German music producer , DJ , keyboard player and jazz pianist .

After training as a church musician in secondary work in Mainz from 1986 to 1988, Vogt founded his first band with the German rock group FDH . Since 1990 he has worked on the one hand as a keyboard player and singer in numerous bands and projects, on the other hand as a DJ : first in the KUZ in Mainz, then in Das Rind in Rüsselsheim, later in Frankfurt . In 1992 he founded the breakbeat label Pansen Records. Since 1994 he has written theater music and produced Matt House as a DJ for various labels . During his training as a professional musician and instrumental teacher for jazz and popular music at the FMW Frankfurter Musikwerkstatt , he was involved in jazz projects such as Ben's New Tribe or The New Fusion , before playing with Seelenbande and Matthias Vogt with bassist Andreas Manns and drummer Volker Schmidt Trio founded. Roger Cicero and Dania König can also be heard on the trio's productions . In a larger format he plays with [re: jazz] . Together with C-Rock he forms the deep-house formation Motorcitysoul .

Matthias Vogt was a regular DJ at the Cocoon Club in Frankfurt, Sven Väth's club . Here, together with C-Rock, he launched the Our House series .

In 1999 he received a grant from the city of Rüsselsheim. At the Museumsuferfest 2012 he performed with the funk jazz quartet The Pinocchio Theory ( Jan Stürmer (git), Andreas Neubauer (dr), Matthias Deisenroth (b)) in the Pass Jazz Garden . True to the motto “If you fake the funk your nose will grow” ( George Clinton ), the formation adapts cover versions of pieces by Bill Withers , Grant Green or The Meters in addition to original compositions
