C-rock

C-Rock (born January 7, 1972 in Frankfurt am Main ; real name Christian Rindermann ) is a German DJ and music producer .

Career

C-Rock has been a DJ since 1988 and, along with artists such as Ata Macias , Tyron Dixon , Vincenzo and Yannick, is one of the leading German deep house DJs. Under the project names house research and paranoiaparadise , C-Rock, together with Ricardo Villalobos and DJ Yannick, organized house parties in the Rhein-Main area with well-known guests in the early 90s. B. Carl Craig , Chez Damier , John Acquaviva , David Alvarado, Brendan M Gillen, and Dan Curtin . At the same time, C-Rock gave the house fanzine SiZE with Yannick until the mid-90s ! in DIN-A6 format.

In addition to his work for his labels Stir15 and Lofi Stereo , C-Rock also produces for friendly labels such as Kompakt , Playhouse and Antipop . He works as a consultant and developer for the Red Bull Music Academy and Ecler Barcelona .

C-Rock writes as a freelance writer for the magazines de: bug , Groove and Keys .

With his album Track & Feel (1998), on which C-Rock combined minimal dub structures with classic house and techno, he laid one of the foundations for the “German house sound”.

Stations of his DJ work included appearances in Chile at the Museum of Modern Art in Santiago and sets in Switzerland , Portugal , Spain (including Sonar ), the USA , including Chicago , and in all important German house clubs.

Together with Matthias Vogt, he published the Motorcitysoul project on the Infracom label . Under his minimal house project name Star * Dub (Dub * Star) he has also produced for Kompakt and remixed Sven Väth , for example dub controls your mind and barbarella2000 . He also forms the joint project Further on Lofi Stereo with Neville Attree . In September 2005 the cooperation between Motorcitysoul and Chez Damier ( Kids in the streets ) with keep on turning appeared on Stir15 .

From July 2004 to 2012 C-Rock worked as a resident DJ in Sven Väth's Cocoon Club in Frankfurt. He hosted the going-deeper evenings every Friday with guests such as Hans Nieswandt , Rainer Trüby , Jef-K and Charles Webster. From August 2006 to 2014, C-Rock hosted the You-FM-Clubnight , formerly HR-XXL-Clubnight , every two months , together with DJ Franksen. In September 2007 the party series Our House started in the Cocoon Club , at which Motorcitysoul , consisting of C-Rock and Matthias Vogt, and well-known guest DJs played.
