Rainer Truby is a German Nu Jazz - DJ and music producer .

When Rainer Truby in the early 1990s at a market in London to hip-hop - vinyl rummaging, he found a stand favorable jazz - and Soul plates from the 1970s. Among them he also found a disc with a sequence that had been sampled and reused by the Jungle Brothers . This piqued Trüby's interest and he began to collect publications from this period.

Back in Stuttgart he worked as a DJ in the On You Club, in which Michi Beck (member of Die Fantastischen Vier ) also performed regularly. Trüby played a piece by Asha Puthli for the hip-hop group, which was still relatively unknown at the time , and brought them to the sample for Die da.

Rainer Trüby moved to Freiburg im Breisgau . There he met Bernd Kunz , with whom he started producing music as A Forest Mighty Black . The first single was released in 1994.

In the following years Trüby established himself more and more as a music producer , DJ and also as a music connoisseur with a good hand in selecting songs for compilations . The samplers he put together for record labels such as Talkin Loud , Compost Records ( Glücklich series) and Nuphonic received a good response and achieved relatively high sales figures. He also made a name for himself in the scene as a remixer and interpreted songs by Tab Two , Turntablerocker , Nitin Sawhney and Frederic Galliano .

When A Forest Mighty Black split up, Trüby got together with Roland Appel and Christian Prommer ( Fauna Flash ) and founded the Trüby Trio with them . In 2001 they received the order from Studio K7 for a DJ-Kicks -Mix CD. Two years later, the official Trüby trio debut Elevator Music appeared on Compost .
