Matthieu Ladagnous (born December 12, 1984 ) is a French cyclist .

Career

At first, Ladagnous was particularly successful in track cycling . As a junior rider, he was European champion in 2001 and world champion in Madison in 2002 . In the adult field, he won several French championship titles in the disciplines individual pursuit , team pursuit and Madison. He represented his country at the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games and was 7th in the team pursuit in 2004 and 8th in 2008, and 7th in Madison 2004 in 2008.

After Ladagnous on the road in 2005, the U23 stage race Mainfranken-Tour , including the prologue won, he joined in 2006 the UCI ProTeam La Française des Jeux to. His first international elite victory on the road was a stage victory in the 2006 Mediterranean Tour . In the next few years he won other international road races, including the overall ranking of the Four Days of Dunkirk 2007 , a race in the hors category , as his most important victory to date .
