Matti Kärki is a Swedish Metal - singer and was also a member of the bands Dismember , Carnage and Carbonized .

biography

Kärki played bass and sang for the band General Surgery in the late 1980s . He also joined the bands Carbonized, Carnage and, for a short time, Therion as a singer. He achieved greater fame as a member of the band Dismember, to which he belonged from 1990 until the band split up in 2011, and with whom he recorded eight studio albums as singer and songwriter during this period . He was also the singer of the band Murder Squad .

As a guest singer he worked on releases for the bands Adversary, At the Gates , Desultory and his former band General Surgery. He also supported the band Grave with lyrics on the albums Dominion VIII and Burial Ground .

The Growling Kärkis is by reviewers partly as "barking, gurgle and roar" ( [he] "barks, gurgles, and roars" ), sometimes jokingly referred to as "insistent Krümelmonster -Gesang" ( "insistent Cookie Monster vocals" hereinafter).
