Matvei Igonen (born October 2, 1996 in Tallinn ) is an Estonian football goalkeeper who is under contract in Norway with Lillestrøm SK .

Career

Matvei Igonen was born in 1996 in the Estonian capital Tallinn. He began his career at FC Ajax Lasnamäe from the district of the same name in his hometown. From 2006 the goalkeeper played in the youth of FC Infonet Tallinn . In 2012 he made his first appearances in the first team. At the end of the season he rose with the team in the Meistriliiga . In the 2016 season he won the Estonian Championship, the following year the Cup and Supercup . In January 2018 he left Estonia and moved to Lillestrøm SK in the Norwegian Eliteserien .

National team

Matvei Igonen has played for Estonia since 2011. He made his debut in the U-16 team . In the following years he was used in the U-17 , U-19 and U-21 of Estonia. In the senior team , Igonen made his debut on November 23, 2017 against Vanuatu in Port Vila . With the national team he took part in the Baltic Cup 2018 .
