Max Arndt

Max Arndt (born January 4, 1897 in Laurahütte , † February 8, 1967 in Pforzheim ) was a German engineer .

Life

Arndt was Technical General Director of Neunkircher Eisenwerk AG, formerly the Stumm brothers . He had a decisive influence on the technical development and led the reconstruction of the heavily destroyed factory after the Second World War . One focus of his work was the modernization of the rolling mills .

Arndt was president of the employers' association of the iron and metal industry in Saarland . The socio-political tasks of the iron and steel industry on the Saar were important to him . He had belonged to the Association of German Ironworks People (VDEh) since 1928 and did a great deal of service to its branch Eisenhütte Südwest . In the Max Planck Society he represented the Neunkircher Eisenwerk as a corporate sponsoring member.
