Max Blumenthal
Max Blumenthal (born December 18, 1977 in Boston ) is an American author , journalist , blogger and filmmaker .
Life
Blumenthal is the son of Jaqueline and Sidney Blumenthal , a US journalist, political activist and former advisor to former US President Bill Clinton and long-time confidante of Hillary Clinton .
Blumenthal graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1999 . He was a Research Fellow for Media Matters for America .

In 2009, Blumenthal's first book, Republican Gomorrah: Inside the Movement that Shattered the Party , was published, which made it onto the New York Times bestseller list . Paul Begala called the first book an "important" book.
Blumenthal's second book, Goliath , was reviewed by American historian and journalist Eric Alterman in his political column for The Nation as a "carelessly constructed" "I-hate-Israel-Handbook", which all but the most fanatical anti-Zionists (" most fanatical anti-Zionist extremists ”). By contrast, the book was well received by the former Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan , David Duke .
Blumenthal's statements, such as the comparison of Israel with National Socialism in Germany, are classified as anti-Semitic by the Simon Wiesenthal Center (SWC) . An event planned with Blumenthal formed the occasion for the toilet affair , which the SWC described as one of the worst anti-Semitic attacks of 2014.
