Max Correggio
Max Correggio (born July 26, 1854 in Munich ; † May 12, 1908 there ) was a German animal and landscape painter.
He was the son of the painter Josef Correggio (1810–1891) and the younger brother of the painter Ludwig Correggio (1846–1930). After taking painting lessons from his father, Corregio studied from May 4, 1870 at the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich with Wilhelm von Diez and with the engraver Johann Leonhard Raab .
Correggio mainly painted hunting scenes and wild animals. He died in 1908 at the age of 53 and was buried in his father's grave in the Altes Südfriedhof in Munich.
