Max Götze (born October 13, 1880 in Berlin ; † October 29, 1944 ) was a German cyclist.

Max Götze, member of the Berlin association BBC Germania from 1883 , took part in the cycling competitions at the 1906 Olympic Intermediate Games in Athens . In the 1000 m time trial , as in the 333.3 m time trial , he was eliminated in the preliminary round. After finishing fifth in the 5000 m race, he won the silver medal in the 2000 m tandem sprint together with his brother Bruno Götze , who was 18 years old . Two years later he again took part in the Olympic Games in London and won his second silver medal in the team pursuit over 1980 yards together with Karl Neumer , Richard Katzer and Hermann Martens .
