Maximilian "Max" Hagmayr (born November 16, 1956 in Wels ) is a former Austrian football player . Today he works as a player advisor and agent.

Athletic career

Having grown up in Sattledt , Hagmayr began his professional career in 1975 as a striker at SK VOEST Linz . The runner-up in 1980 with the Linz team stands out. Personally, he distinguished himself as a 14-time goalscorer in 1981 and 1982. Between 1975 and 1982 he scored 58 goals in 181 league games for Linz. For the 1982/83 season he moved to Karlsruher SC . There he completed 31 Bundesliga games at the side of Rudolf Wimmer , Gerhard Kleppinger , Stephan Groß , Erhard Hofeditz and Emanuel Günther , in which he scored six goals. After KSC was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga , Hagmayr moved to Rapid Vienna in 1983 and won the runner-up. There he only played one season before he moved to LASK in 1984 and as a homecomer was able to expand his personal goal record to 15 goals this season. He ended his career in Linz in 1988 after a total of 256 league games in Austria with 84 goals.

National team

Between 1979 and 1982 Hagmayr played twelve times for the Austrian national team and scored one goal. At the 1982 World Cup in Spain he was a member of the national team. In the final round he was used on July 1 in Madrid for the game against Northern Ireland . He formed the attack from Austria in the 2-2 draw together with Walter Schachner and Gernot Jurtin .

Professional career

After completing his sports career, Hagmayr completed a law degree at the University of Linz , which he graduated in 1990. From 1992 to 1996 he worked as a trainee lawyer. Between 1995 and 1999 he was a sports manager at LASK, after which he passed the FIFA license exam as an international players agent and founded the company HAGMAYR Sportmanagement GmbH in 2001 .
