Max Jänecke

Max Jänecke (born August 28, 1869 in Hanover ; † November 2, 1912 there ) was a bookseller, printer owner and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Jänecke attended the Kaiser Wilhelm-Gymnasium in Hanover until 1886 and the universities of Marburg , Berlin and Leipzig , where he studied history and folk studies. He traveled to North America, Spain and Morocco. Joined the Gebrüder Jänecke company in Hanover, a court book printing company, type foundry, lithographic printing company, bookstore and publishing house of the Hannoversche Couriers. He was co-owner of the same, as well as authorized signatory of the company Gebr. Jänecke & Fr. Schneemann in Hanover, Moscow and Newark (NJ) USA factories of book and stone printing inks. He was also lieutenant in the reserve of the Oldenburg Dragoon Regiment No. 19 and chairman of the Association of German Newspaper Publishers.

From 1903 to February 1904 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the Province of Hanover 16 ( Lüneburg , Soltau , Winsen (Luhe) ) and the National Liberal Party . From 1904 to 1908 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives .
