Max Nassauer
Max Nassauer , pseudonym : Dr. Harmless (born October 3, 1869 in Würzburg , † May 23, 1931 in Bad Kissingen , Lower Franconia ) was a German gynecologist and writer .
Life
Nassauer was a gynecologist in Munich. "The poetic doctor in Munich" , as his friend Else Lasker-Schüler called him , wrote the first modern medical picture book for with his book "Der gute Doktor" ( A useful picture book for children and parents . Pictures by Hellmut Maison , Munich 1908) Children. It is still considered a classic in this field of children's literature and continues the series of books that aim to explain medical issues to children.
