Max Peter Ammann

Max Peter Ammann (born January 22, 1929 in Wil SG ) is a Swiss film director , theater director and writer .

Life

From 1960 to 1975 he staged theater productions a. a. in Basel, Zurich, Berlin and Munich. From 1976 to 1991 Ammann was head of the drama department at Swiss television . He founded the Theater im Tramdepot for co-productions with the Schauspielhaus Zürich , as well as the Telearena , which later developed into the Telebühne . Here Ammann TV / Theater staged coproductions such as Andorra by Max Frisch and The Visit of the Old Lady by Friedrich Dürrenmatt . In 1976 and 1987 Max Peter Ammann was awarded the Zurich Television Prize, and in 1985 he was awarded the Radio and Television Prize for Eastern Switzerland. In January 2011 Ammann's debut novel Die Gottfriedkinder was published by Rotpunktverlag .
