Max Pie is a Belgian power and progressive metal band from Tubize that was formed in 2005.

history

The band was formed in 2005. In the following years the band worked on new material, while the line-up of the group changed several times. The debut album Initial Process finally followed in 2011, whereupon Emanuele Casali ( DGM , Astra ) could be heard as a guest keyboardist. On the next album Eight Pieces - One World the guitarist Simone Mularoni (DGM, Empyrios ) could be heard in two songs as a guest musician. Mularoni also mastered and mixed the album at Domination Studios in San Marino .

style

According to Dominik Winter from Metal Hammer, the band plays on Eight Pieces - One World progressive power metal, comparable to the music of Kamelot , Fates Warning , Rhapsody of Fire , Eldritch , Labyrinth , Symphony X and early Dream Theater . An oriental influence can be heard in songs like Earth's Rules . In addition, the songs are characterized by frequent changes in speed and mood. The scratchy vocals are reminiscent of Russell Allen (Symphony X) or John Bush ( Armored Saint ).
