Max Schirnhofer (born March 29, 1987 ) is a former Austrian judoka .

biography

Max Schirnhofer fought for the judo UNION RAIKA Flachgau. After graduating from high school, he signed up for the Army Sports Center and was a member of the Austrian national team . At the U23 European Championship in 2008 he reached 2nd place. At the 2009 World Cup, he was eliminated in the first round. He won the bronze medal at the U23 European Championships in Antalya . In 2010 he reached 5th place at the home European championships in Vienna . At the World Cup in Japan he was seventh, where he defeated the defending champion Lee Kuy-won , among others . At the beginning of 2013 he turned his back on judo, gave up his place as an army athlete and switched to MMA .

Schirnhofer was able to achieve the following successes in the 90 kg weight class:
