Max Versé

Max Versé (born March 15, 1877 in Krefeld , † August 31, 1947 in Marburg ) was a German pathologist and professor at the University of Marburg .

He studied medicine in Bonn, Leipzig and Jena and received his doctorate in 1903 from the University of Leipzig . In 1907 he completed his habilitation in general pathology and pathological anatomy at the University of Leipzig. From 1913 to 1918 he was ao. Professor in Leipzig. From 1918 to 1923 he headed the Pathological Institute at the Westend Hospital in Berlin and was also head of the Social Hygiene Academy. From 1923 he was professor for general pathology at the University of Marburg. There he was rector in 1930/31 and dean in 1932/33 .

He signed the confession of professors at German universities and colleges to Adolf Hitler in November 1933. From 1934 he was a supporting member of the SS and also belonged to the NS teachers' association and the NSV .

In 1930 he was elected a member of the Leopoldina .
