Max Lambert Peter van Heeswijk (born March 2, 1973 in Hoensbroek ) is a former Dutch cyclist . He was considered a sprint specialist.

Van Heeswijk started his professional career in 1995 with the Motorola team . In the 2004 season Van Heeswijk was able to win the Belgian one-day race Nokere Koerse . At the Vuelta a España 2004 he took over the golden jersey of the front runner for one day thanks to a time credit in the second stage.

In 2000 and 2004 van Heeswijk started in the road race of the Olympic Games. In 2000 in Sydney he was ranked 14th and four years later in Athens 17th.

In 2005 he won two stages of the Eneco Tour and one of the Vuelta a España . In 2007 he moved to the Dutch Rabobank team and ended his active career at Willems Veranda the following year .
