Maxime de Zeeuw (born April 26, 1987 in Uccle / Ukkel , Belgium ) is a Belgian national basketball player .

Career

De Zeeuw started his basketball career in his home country, first at Eclair BC and from 2004 to 2005 at Excelsior Brussels . He moved to RBC Verviers-Pepinster the following season . There de Zeeuw played for several years, interrupted only by the 2010/11 season with the Gent Hawks . In 2009 he was voted Belgian young talent of the year. During his tenure with the Antwerp Giants , de Zeeuw was appointed to the Belgian national team in 2013 . In 2014 he won the Best Player of the Year award in Belgium . After one season each in Italy and the Czech Republic, de Zeeuw moved to EWE Baskets Oldenburg in summer 2016 . In the 2018/19 season, de Zeeuw will play for the Spanish first division club Obradoiro CAB .
