Maximilian Götzinger (born June 7, 1987 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German biathlete who competes for the Netherlands.

Maximilian Götzinger lives in Siegsdorf . He started biathlon in the 2006/07 season. Since the beginning of the 2006/07 season he started internationally in the Junior European Cup, the current IBU Cup . The first international championships were the 2007 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Martell . Götzinger was 71st in the individual, 53rd in the sprint and 43rd in the pursuit race in South Tyrol . Shortly afterwards, he also took part in the junior races of the Biathlon European Championships 2007 in Bansko , where he came in 34th in the individual, 32nd in the sprint and 31st in the pursuit. A year later he took part again in the Junior World Championships , which were now held in Ruhpolding . Götzinger ran in 67th place in the individual, 32nd in the sprint and was 52nd in the pursuit. The last major event among the juniors was the Biathlon European Championships 2008 in Nové Město na Moravě , where he was 31st in the individual and 34th in sprint and pursuit.

Since the 2009/10 season Götzinger starts at the men. He contested his first races in Ridnaun in the IBU Cup and was 106th of an individual there. In the further course of the season he was able to improve his best performance to 85th place in a single in Martell. The first use in an international men's championship was the participation in the relay race of the Biathlon European Championships 2011 in Ridnaun. Götzinger was on the side of Joël Sloof , Herbert Cool and Luciën Sloof as the final runner and took 16th place with the lapped relay.
