Maximilian Hellmann
Maximilian Hellmann (born July 7, 1702 in Vienna ; † March 20, 1763 ibid) was an Austrian cymbalist , timpanist and composer.
Life
Like his father, Hellmann was a drummer at the Viennese court. Emperor Charles VI. sent him to Dresden to learn the Pantaleon with Pantaleon Hebenstreit (1668–1750) ; In 1723 he returned to Vienna, where he took up a position as court cymbalist under the intercession of Johann Joseph Fux , whose nephew was Hellmann's pupil. From 1746 Hellmann also worked as a court timpanist.
