Maximilian Meisse

Maximilian Meisse (born September 15, 1969 in Kassel ) is a German photographer and architect . He lives and works in Berlin.

Life

Meisse studied architecture at the University of Stuttgart and the ETH Zurich with Hans Kollhoff and Walter Maria Förderer . In addition to his work as an architect, his first photographic work followed in 1996. His most important projects dealt with Tempelhof Airport, the Museum Island in Berlin and the city of Venice . The nomination of his publication Tempelhof for the German Photo Book Prize 2009 was followed by exhibitions at art Karlsruhe , the Henn Gallery in Munich, the gallery f75 in Stuttgart and the Carpentier Gallery in Berlin. Between 2007 and 2008 he held a teaching position at the Brandenburg Technical University in Cottbus , followed by a further teaching position at the Kassel Art College in 2009 . Since 2007 he has an agency contract with Artur Images and an artist contract with ARTcoming . His most important clients include the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin , the Internationale Bauakademie Berlin , the Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz and the museums of the city of Nuremberg . His works are represented in the art collection of the German Bundestag and in the collection of the RCK Art Foundation .
