Maximilian Zimmer (lawyer)

Maximilian Zimmer (* 1965 in Meckenheim (Rhineland) ) is a German lawyer and honorary professor .

Life

Zimmer began studying law in Bonn in 1984 and passed the first state examination in 1988. After his legal clerkship, he did his doctorate at the University of Göttingen with a thesis on declaratory action in labor court proceedings and then worked as a research assistant at the Federal Labor Court in Kassel. From 1995 to 1999 Zimmer worked as a notary assessor in Halle (Saale) and was then appointed notary in Wernigerode in 1999 . In 2011 Zimmer was appointed honorary professor for business law at the Harz University of Applied Sciences . He also works as a lecturer at the Academy of the German Lawyers' Association and as a part-time member of the Judicial Examination Office at the Saxony-Anhalt Ministry of Justice .

Maximilian Zimmer is the son of the former federal judge Karl Otto Zimmer .
