Maximilian von Fürstenberg

Maximilian Adolf Aloysius Maria Hubertus von Fürstenberg (born February 19, 1866 in Körtlinghausen Castle ; † December 25, 1925 in Haus Echthausen ) was a German politician, district administrator in the Coesfeld district and a member of the provincial parliament .

Life

Origin and family

Maximilian von Furstenberg came from the Westphalian great nobility of the diocese of Muenster . His parents were Leopold Friedrich Freiherr von Fürstenberg (1831–1903) and Huberta Maria Freiin von Loe (1843–1900). On January 18, 1905, he married Franziska Anna Countess von Rechberg (1880–1970), daughter of Otto von Rechberg and Therese Katharina zu Hohenlohe-Schillingsfürst (1851–1923) in Donzdorf Castle . The marriage resulted in five daughters and one son.

Professional background

After graduating from high school in Warburg in 1884, he studied law and cameralia at the universities of Innsbruck , Munich , Bonn and Göttingen . In 1887 he passed his examination as a trainee lawyer at the Cologne Higher Regional Court. In 1893 the examination for government assessor followed. After working for the government of Schleswig, Wiesbaden and Frankfurt / Oder, he was entrusted with the municipal administration of the Coesfeld district on January 8, 1905. On August 5, 1905, he was finally appointed District Administrator of the Coesfeld district and on April 25, 1919, on application, was retired. On January 18, 1905, he married Franziska Anna Countess von Rechberg in Donzdorf Castle . The marriage resulted in six children. From 1907 to 1919 von Fürstenberg was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Westphalia .

Maximilian von Fürstenberg was a member of the Papal Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem .
