The Donzdorf Castle in the middle of the city Donzdorf in Baden-Württemberg Göppingen district was in 1568 on behalf of Hans von Rechberg to Hohenrechberg to Iller Aichen-Scharfenberg built. The three-storey Renaissance building with four octagonal towers has been rebuilt several times over the centuries.

1764-1765 of the south was the castle of the palace gardens as baroque gardens. At the beginning of the 19th century, it was converted into its present form as an English landscape garden . In the walled park there is a sundial in front of the castle pond .

In 1987, Graf von Rechberg and Rothenlöwen sold the castle to the city of Donzdorf. The palace garden has been open to the public since 1992. Since May 1995 the castle has been the administrative center of the city of Donzdorf. On the ground floor is the palace restaurant, designed in the Venetian style by an architect from Venice , with a historic vaulted hall .
