Mayo Hubert
Christophe "Mayo" Hubert (born May 18, 1977 in Saargemünd ) is a French musician ( guitar ) of gypsy jazz .
Live and act
At the age of twelve, Hubert had guitar lessons from Antoine Haag and Tchavolo Schmitt ; At the age of 17 he gave his first public concert when he appeared in Strasbourg with the formation Sinti Swing , to which Jordan, Martial and Fistan Loefler belonged. In the following years he worked since the 1990s with Charles Aznavour , Sacha Distel , Juliette Reno and Henri Salvador , also in various gypsy jazz formations, initially as a rhythm guitarist. In 2002 he presented his self-titled debut album as a self-production, which was followed by the album Swing Mayo in 2004 and Caravan de Santino in 2012 . Stylistically he is influenced by Django Reinhardt , Biréli Lagrène , Dorado and Tchavolo Schmitt.
