Yorgui Loeffler

Yorgui Loeffler (* 1979 in Haguenau ) is a French guitarist of gypsy jazz .

Live and act

Loeffler, who comes from a Manouche family and is largely self-taught on his instrument, began playing guitar when he was fourteen. Early role models included recordings by Django Reinhardt , Biréli Lagrène , Raphaël Faÿs and Stochelo Rosenberg . Loeffler, who has since been active in the Alsatian music scene , released his debut album For Magnio in 2003 and works in a trio with his brother Gigi Loeffler and his cousin Gino Roman, as well as his uncle, the accordionist Marcel Loeffler . In 2004 Andreas Öberg invited him and Ritary Gaguenetti to a joint album. In 2006 he was a member of the formation Les Enfants de Django around Samson Schmitt and Mike Reinhardt ( Live in Paris au Méridien Étoile 2008); he also released the tribute album Django et rien d'autre with Raphaël Faÿs and Steeve Lafont . At the end of 2007 he recorded an instrumental version of the European anthem by Ludwig van Beethoven for the Council of Europe . His album Bouncin 'Around followed in 2009 .
