Meelah Adams
Meelah Adams (born January 13, 1987 ) is a German actress .
Life
Meelah Adams began her artistic training in singing and dance when she was still at school. After passing high school, she began studying. While studying business administration at RWTH Aachen University , Meelah was cast in a small film project. After that, she found greater interest in film acting and production and ended her studies early.
From 2006 onwards, Meelah Adams trained at the Studio of Young Artists film acting school in Hamburg , which she successfully completed in 2008. At the same time she took speaking lessons from Sabine von Rosenberg. She then completed various acting courses and produced her first own short films. In 2015 she successfully completed her studies in media production at the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences .
She had her first major role in the film Slasher by Frank W. Montag . Then she played in other genre films, such as Break - No Mercy, Just Pain! by Matthias Olof Eich . In between, she can be seen in smaller commercials and short films by various directors. With the project Days with Washing Machines by Philipp Basener and Anne Winterhager , she won several national short film competitions. In 2009 she worked with the director Ralphwege, who became known through the television program “ Willi wills Wissen ”, in the English-language feature film Thallium .
Meelah Adams received a lot of attention in 2015 with her self-produced short film Selfie from Hell . The horror clip is part of her bachelor thesis on the effects of viral videos and received more than 15 million clicks on YouTube within a short period of time (as of December 2015). The viral success of the video brought her a nomination for the 1Live Krone in the category "Video-Krone" and the win of the Germany 2016 Web Video Prize in the Arthouse category .
In addition to producing short films, she is involved in the novel Fuck You Zombie by Erdal Ceylan, which is due to appear in 2017.
